Krav Maga Training in Israel: What to Expect from the Immersion Camp

Krav Maga is more than just a self-defense system—it’s a way of life. And what better place to train than in Israel, the birthplace of Krav Maga? Our 7-day Immersion Camp is designed to give participants a real-world training experience, blending intensive self-defense techniques with cultural and historical exploration. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned practitioner, this camp will challenge and inspire you. Here’s what you can expect.

Day 1: Welcome to Tel Aviv

Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, you’ll check into your accommodation (we recommend staying near Gordon Beach, where we meet each morning). The first evening is an opportunity to meet fellow participants, get to know your instructors, and settle into the training mindset. Our diverse group includes students from all over the world—from military professionals to beginners looking to improve their self-defense skills.

Day 2: First Training Session & Beach Combat

Your first full day kicks off with a morning training session at Fight TLV, a gym located near the beach. Here, you’ll be introduced to the fundamental principles of Krav Maga, focusing on real-world scenarios, reflexive movements, and aggressive counter-attacks. After a morning of intense drills, we take it outside—training on the beach, where we incorporate water-based combat exercises. You’ll learn how to fight in unpredictable environments, using the sea to simulate real-life attack scenarios.

Day 3: Urban Defense & Training in Ben Shemen Forest

This day takes us beyond the gym and into urban and open-field environments. You’ll practice defending against threats in public transportation, learning how to handle attacks inside a bus or train. We then move to the Ben Shemen Forest, where we simulate real-world self-defense scenarios in outdoor conditions. Here, you’ll engage in weapons training, learning to disarm attackers wielding knives, clubs, or guns.

Day 4: Honoring the Legacy – History Meets Combat

Krav Maga isn’t just about fighting—it’s about survival. On Day 4, we honor its roots by visiting the grave of Imi Lichtenfeld, the founder of Krav Maga, in Netanya. After this, we head to Caesarea Beach, an ancient Roman port city, where we train against the backdrop of historic aqueducts. Expect high-intensity striking drills, grappling techniques, and beach sprints—a true test of endurance and skill.

Day 5: Jerusalem – Understanding the Why

A Krav Maga journey in Israel wouldn’t be complete without a day in Jerusalem. The morning begins with a visit to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial, where we reflect on history and its impact on Israeli defense systems. We then continue training near the Old City, practicing defense techniques in confined spaces and against multiple attackers. After a powerful day of both mental and physical challenges, we explore the markets of Jerusalem, taking in its vibrant culture.

Day 6: Tactical First Aid & Park Combat

Self-defense isn’t just about fighting—it’s also about survival in emergency situations. We start the day with tactical first aid training, covering battlefield injury care, hemorrhage control, and mass casualty management. Then, we head to a park in Tel Aviv to train scenario-based defense techniques, including kidnapping prevention and carjacking defense.

Day 7: The Gauntlet – Final Challenge

The final day is all about testing everything you’ve learned. Known as The Gauntlet, this final challenge is designed to push you physically, mentally, and emotionally. You’ll undergo a series of combat drills, including:

  • Sprint & fight scenarios on the beach

  • Close-quarters combat simulations

  • Multi-attacker defenses

  • Stress drills incorporating exhaustion and unpredictability

The camp concludes with a group celebration, where we recognize the efforts of each participant. You’ll leave with new skills, unforgettable memories, and a deeper understanding of Krav Maga.
